Thank you for taking the time to look at my advert! It's a bit wordy but well worth a read! In it I explain what I do and what to avoid when choosing a van man...

I run a proper, professional, established business with over 5 years experience at moving all types of furniture or what have you to all types of homes and businesses nationwide. I have moved everything from a single item up to full home removals, band equipment, soundsystems, antiques, artworks, motorbikes, scooters...

I'm based in EAST LONDON but will travel anywhere within it, as well as long distance. It has to be worth my while though, please consider where I am in relation to your job, as I can't afford to drive from one side of London to the other and work for nothing...

MINIMUM CHARGE is £25, and I give quotes for the whole job rather than an hourly rate and this tends to work out cheaper for the customer. No point paying to sit in traffic or pay for a van man obviously dragging his heels!

HOWEVER, if there are MORE items to move than initially stated and quoted for, these will be added on top of the quote. Please be as accurate as you can when asking for a quote.

I HELP TO LOAD AND UNLOAD THE VAN. Be aware that many other cheapo man and van businesses WILL NOT HELP YOU do this, and charge extra for going upstairs etc etc.

Available 7 days, 8am (I will start earlier if pre-arranged) to 10pm, weekends, Bank holidays.

I use a long wheelbase. high roof Ford Transit, that is clean and reliable (like it's driver!), which is ideal for moving large items, such as beds, wardrobes and 3 piece suites. It is also ideal for people without lots of furniture, IE students or Doctors, both of which I have moved a lot of, as well as artists, I seem to move a lot of artworks these days!

Customers items will be treated with care,blanketed and strapped into the van where needed. I have a sack truck for easy moving of washing machines, fridges, freezers etc.

I have sat nav to find my way around easily.

I have 2 passenger seats, so 2 of you can travel with me to your new home.

The only additional charges I make are for parking (where needed) and congestion charge (where applicable).

Payment is made to me at the end of the job, not the start.

Please advise me of any access issues, or parking restrictions.

Store pickups, IKEA, DIY Stores, Furniture Stores, Self Storage, Big Yellow etc.

I WILL DO LONG DISTANCE JOBS TO ANYWHERE ON THE UK MAINLAND.

I WELCOME LAST MINUTE JOBS! In fact a large part of my business is made up by customers who have booked someone advertising rock bottom prices (£10 an hour merchants) to do their move, only to be let down on the day by them not turning up, because they have got a better paying job come in. I HEAR THIS STORY TIME AND TIME AGAIN! While this is very good news for me, it is obviously VERY stressful for anyone moving home. I HAVE LOST COUNT OF THE NUMBER OF JOBS I HAVE HAD AS A RESULT OF THIS! Why take the risk to try and save a few pounds? Save yourself the stress and worry by booking a professional in the first place... CHEAPER IS RARELY BETTER! I'm not the cheapest out there but there is a very good reason for that...
